Who We Are

PIBA Foods Limited is a Ugandan agro-industrial food processing enterprise and climate change management champion dedicated to transforming agricultural abundance into sustainable economic opportunities through innovation, value addition, improved nutrition, and inclusive community development. The company empowers banana farmers and other agricultural producers by promoting sustainable farming practices, enhancing market access and Export and creating value-added products that improve livelihoods while contributing to environmental sustainability.

Working closely with PIBA Consult Limited, we combine scientific food processing, farmer mobilization, research-driven product development, and market integration to unlock the full potential of Uganda’s agricultural sector.

As the world’s leading producer and consumer of cooking bananas (matooke), Uganda possesses immense agricultural potential. However, millions of tonnes of bananas are lost annually due to post-harvest spoilage, limited value addition, and weak market systems. PIBA Foods was established to address this challenge by converting highly perishable agricultural produce into shelf-stable, nutritious, and market-ready food products.
